Melissa

Owner/Lead Baker

Prior to becoming a baker, Melissa attended the University of Oregon and studied Fine Art Photography. She has lived around the world including Greece, Bahrain and Egypt. Melissa attended culinary school at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, BC and worked at several bakeries in Vancouver including the Vancouver Art Gallery Cafe.

In 2006 she relocated to Nelson and started Epiphany Cakes. She loves pugs, ceramics, photography, camping and browsing cookbooks. She has been gluten-free for over a decade and is passionate about developing delicious gluten-free recipes for the bakery.

Melissa's first cookbook, Epiphany Bakes  (TouchWood Editions), is now available at bookstores everywhere.
